We count it an honor and a blessing to minister to babies here at WAM. Our vision for our nursery is to provide a safe, healthy and caring environment. The nursery is staffed with loving teachers who are called to this area of children's ministry because they truly love babies and count it a privilege to serve our body in this way.
We believe it is important for children to participate in nursery at the very earliest age. It is a great opportunity for parents to start building some life-long securities in their baby. For babies who are only with mom and dad, there is no better place than church to introduce them to others outside of their family circle. It affords parents the opportunity to leave their child, for just a short time, while being in the same building with them and it lets baby know it is okay to be in the care of others. This develops a healthy transition for the parent and baby to accept being separated at times.
We are committed to serving families of nursery age children to the best of our ability. We understand families attend church to be spiritually fed. God’s best is for parents to have uninterrupted service time. Our goal is to keep each child for the duration of service, if at all possible. If a parent is needed back in the nursery, a worker will have the check in number put up on the screen.

The nursery is a baby's first experience of church. We want to teach them to know the Name of Jesus, that Jesus loves them and how we praise Him. We want them to know what the Bible is and that we love the Bible. A baby associates hugs or kisses with love, so we have them hug or kiss their Bible. Isaiah 28:10 says we learn precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little, there a little. We get to sow the first seeds into their life. What an awesome privilege!
